The Division of Speech and Hearing Sciences (SHS Division) of the Faculty of Education (the Faculty), the University of Hong Kong (HKU) held an opening ceremony of the newly extended Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic (the Clinic) at Kennedy Town on May 17, 2017. The Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning) of HKU, Professor Ian Holliday; the Associate Director of Knowledge Exchange Office of HKU, Professor John Bacon-Shone; the Dean of Education, HKU, Professor Stephen Andrews;  the Dean of Education designate, HKU, Professor Lin Goodwin; the Head of SHS Division, Professor Thomas Klee; and the Clinical Education Director, Dr Anita Wong, officiated at the ceremony.

In 2016, financial support from the Faculty was provided to expand our clinic space at the Kennedy Town Centre from one to two floors. The expansion also includes installation of state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment that allow unobtrusive but high-quality recording, which will enhance our students’ clinical education as well as service to clients.

Our BSc speech and hearing sciences students, our MSc audiology students and our clinical educators are committed to person-centered, evidence-based services to individuals with speech, language, communication, swallowing and hearing disorders in the community.
