Biography
Ka Yan is a graduate of the Division. She has over 25 years of experience working as a speech therapist in Hong Kong, with practice in both pediatric and adult settings. Her areas of expertise include communication rehabilitation for clients with hearing impairments, autistic spectrum disorders (ASD), motor speech disorders, and cerebral palsy.

Previously, she has been deeply interested in promoting social communication development for preschool children with ASD, supporting early literacy skills in young children, and enhancing expressive language abilities in school-aged children. In recent years, she has actively participated in services aimed at enhancing the quality of life for elderly individuals with multiple disabilities, focusing on improving their skills in using multimodal communication, as well as managing motor speech and feeding difficulties within this population.
