Biography
Sharon is a part-time Assistant Lecturer with years of experience in speech therapy. After attaining her speech therapist qualification in 1997, she began her career with the Hospital Authority, supporting a wide range of clinical populations. She later set up a private speech therapy practice, where she continues to provide focused care in communication and swallowing.
Sharon holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Gerontology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, which deepened her understanding of elderly care. She subsequently completed a PhD in Surgery at the same institution, with research focused on test validation and the development of a receptive vocabulary item pool for preschoolers within a computerized adaptive testing (CAT) framework. Her academic and clinical work spans both early childhood and older adulthood, reflecting a broad interest in supporting communication across different life stages.
