Biography
Ms. Jody Lam serves as a half-time assistant lecturer in the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). She is a full member of the Hong Kong Association of Speech Therapists and an accredited registered member of the Hong Kong Institute of Speech Therapists.
Jody has extensive experience providing speech therapy to children and adults with a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders across diverse settings. She has significant experience working with populations including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, and intellectual disabilities. With a particular interest in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), she is currently advancing her expertise through the Assistive Technology Professional Program at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Jody has strong passion in contributing to the speech therapy profession. She has been serving as the Chairperson of The Hong Kong Association of Speech Therapists since 2020. Her leadership has been instrumental in advancing professional development, enhancing public awareness of speech therapy, and strengthening the professional network of STs in Hong Kong.
